Getting Ready for Botox? Here's Your Ultimate Pre-Post Guide!

Hey there! So, you're taking the plunge and stepping into the Botox world? First off, high-five! 🙌 Second, let’s chat about making sure you get the absolute best out of your treatment, from start to finish.

Before You Go In:

Bruise-Proof Your Skin: Ever tried Arnica pellets? Start taking them 2-3 days before your session. Bonus tip: Dive into a bowl of kiwis and pineapples. They're great for preventing bruising.

Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate: Drink plenty of water before your treatment and skip that wine tonight. Just for 24 hours.

Chat About Your Meds: If you're on something that thins your blood or if you bruise like a peach, let your provider know.

Other Beauty Plans? Time Them Right: Wait at least 2 weeks after your neurotoxin treatment before doing other beauty treatments like laser or RF Microneedling. You want to make sure the full effect kicks in before you go warming up the skin and making the product move into places you didn’t intend it to go.

After Your Treatment:

Get That Face Moving: For the next hour or two after your neurotoxin treatment give those treated muscles a little workout by moving them around - scrunch up that face good! Don’t worry if you forget - you’ll look fab anyway.

First Four Hours – Keep It Chill: Resist that urge to touch or rub the face. No sweaty workouts, relaxing facials, swimming, or sauna sessions. Take it easy and stay upright. Don’t lie down or sleep. If you’re thinking makeup, apply very gently. We don’t want the product to spread into areas you don’t want it to go.

Next 48 Hours? A Little More Care: Put a pause on the heavy gym sessions, saunas, pools, and maybe skip happy hour.

Follow-Up Alert: It takes up to 14 days to see the full magic so you have to be a bit patient.Make sure to schedule a 2-week followup. It’s free and we just want to make sure everything worked as planned.

What’s Next? Your fresh look will be with you for about 3-4 months. But here’s the cool bit: with regular visits, that can stretch up to 6 months as your muscles learn how to just chill!

Pro Move: Before heading out, set up your next session for 3-4 months from now. Future-you will thank you! 💁‍♀️✨
