Medical Accreditation

Accreditation is the longest established and most widely known process for the external evaluation of health-care services. Accreditation assists diagnostic services in evaluating and improving the quality of services they provide to their patients and clients. Accreditation also provides recognition that the service is meeting provincial standards of quality. The DAP assesses facilities to ensure they meet the accreditation standards for the services they provide. Compliant facilities receive an accreditation award and are added to the DAP list of accredited facilities.
